Scholarship

Kendra's scholarship seeks to advance the field of Theatre for Young Audiences and drama education in ethical, innovative, and transformative ways. Kendra's higher education teaching, service to the profession, and creative scholarship and writing focus on accessibility for all learners, autoethnographic stop moments in teaching, and intentional use of color in design, among other reflexive praxis.

Kendra is the area head for the Theatre for Youth & Communities (TFY/C) emphasis at UNI. She advises all TFY/C students, is a leader in curriculum development, is a certified Service Learning Leader on campus, and serves on several departmental committees and the Educational Preparation Senate.
